The gift of life

Sin Chew Daily (3/11/07) reported a boy aged 4 fell down from his 2 feet high bed in the middle of the night. He cried and kept on vomiting. The next morning he lost his conscious.He was sent to hospital immediately to operation room.Dr. told his parents that his brain was death.His parents decided to donate his cornea,kidney and heart.

Despite their grief, they have made a wise decision to donate their son's organs to benefits others.They hope by donating their son's organs, will make their son's short live becomes more meaningful.

The sad mother said, 2 yrs ago she already has intention to donate her organs if she pass away,Now her son has fulfilled her wish before she does hers.

This is really a very sad accident.Even 2 feet high bed can kill a boy. In my house there is no bed as I have 2 bad experience.First is my son fell down from the bed at age of 1.He was lucky as he just suffered injury in his nose and face.The next accident happen at age of 2, which successfully 'convinced' my husband to take away the bed. My son was jumping on the bed with his elder brother.He fell down and hit his chin on the wooden plank between 2 beds.He was later undergone a plastic surgery to join back his broken chin.The cost is Rm3000++, which is more expensive than cost of delivering him.

On the other hand,feel really touched as despite their sadness, the parents of the boys have made a wise decision to donate their son's organ.Well, recently In Malaysia the trend of donating organ become more common. If this trend persist, lots of precious life can be saved.
